FSEA TO PARTNER WITH PRINT 18, SHOWCASE SPECIALTY EFFECTS

Highlights to include a seminar on specialty effects trends, a showcase of Gold Leaf Award winners, and a Binding and Loose Leaf Division breakfast

Reston, VAPrinters seeking ways to help their print pieces stand out in our marketing-saturated world will find plenty to explore at PRINT 18, where the Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) will hold several events.

“Digital overload is leading many marketers back to print,” said Jeff Peterson, executive director, FSEA. “They’re discovering that many new—as well as traditional—foil and specialty effects technologies can help their print pieces grab attention and signal premium branding in ways that just aren’t available in digital media.”

FSEA has three initiatives planned at PRINT 18:

  • Peterson will lead a seminar, “Definitions and Applications for Specialty Effects on Print,” in which he’ll discuss new decorating processes now available in the marketplace—from cold and hot foil, to digital inkjet coatings and foils.
  • The FSEA booth (3846) will showcase winners from its 25th annual Gold Leaf Awards in 2018, as well as FSEA’s quarterly magazine, PostPress, and white papers on the impact of high-visibility enhancements on shelf presence.
  • FSEA will sponsor a breakfast featuring Chris Eckhart, president, Eckhart & Company, and bindery representative on the FSEA Board of Directors, and Peterson, who together will give an overview of FSEA’s newly formed Binding and Loose Leaf Division. Both active members (trade binderies, bindery departments, and loose leaf manufacturers) and associate members (suppliers to the bindery and loose leaf industries) are welcome.

“PRINT 18’s value is greatly enhanced by the many associations and trade groups that choose PRINT to present co-located events and programs,” said Thayer Long, APT President. “We’re pleased that FSEA will shine a light on a segment of the industry that offers compelling opportunities for printers to differentiate and grow their businesses.”

PRINT 18 will take place Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, 2018, at McCormick Place in Chicago. For more information, contact Director, Event Marketing, Sherry MacDonald at 703/264-7237, or e-mail: smacdonald@aptech.org.
